Today I went to this recently opened teahouse with Sarah. It’s quite expensive but it’s not that easy to find milk tea at a cheaper price here. I got a watermelon milk tea and Sarah got a strawberry one. It was really nice!
At the moment I am reading Noughts & Crosses by Malorie Blackman. It’s a great read and I recommend it to any teenager looking for a good book. The story is about Callum, a ‘naught’ – a second-class citizen in a world run by the dominating ‘Crosses’ and Sephy, a Cross, the daughter of one of the most powerful men in the country.
This book seems based on the history of discrimination in the U.S.A. in the 50’s and 60’s except the second-class noughts are white-skinned and the Crosses, who are exploiting the noughts, are dark-skinned. I haven’t finished it yet, but so far it’s an amazing story. There are three books following this one in the series and I can’t wait to read them.
